When the payment method that you’re using to run ads on Facebook fails, your ads are paused until you’ve paid your outstanding balance. Here are common reasons why failed payments may happen:

• Insufficient funds on your credit or debit card: Make sure that there are sufficient funds on your card, especially towards your monthly bill date. We automatically charge you whenever you spend a certain amount, known as your payment threshold, and again on your monthly bill date for any leftover costs.
• You’ve reached your credit card limit: Some credit cards have limits for the maximum amount that can be charged in a single transaction. If you have a limit on your credit card, you can decrease your payment threshold to match this amount.
